# Troubleshooting White Ink Cartridge Printing Issues: A Guide

**Summary:** This article addresses issues related to the white ink cartridge not printing while the black cartridge functions correctly.

## Understanding white ink cartridge issues

When experiencing problems with a white ink cartridge, it is important to identify the specific symptoms and settings that may be contributing to the issue. Here are some key points to consider:

### Symptoms of the Issue

- The white ink cartridge does not print, while the black cartridge works fine. This indicates that the problem is isolated to the white cartridge.

### Troubleshooting Steps

1. **Check Voltage and Pulse Width Settings:**

     - Ensure that the voltage and pulse width settings are appropriate for the white ink cartridge. For optimal performance, settings may need to be adjusted.
     - Recommended settings include:
           - Voltage: `9.0`
           - Pulse Width: `1.8`
2. **Maintenance of the Cartridge:**

     - White ink cartridges, particularly those using pigment-based ink, require regular maintenance to function properly. Follow these steps:
           - Place the cap on the cartridge and gently shake it to stir the ink.
           - If necessary, remove the clip, point the nozzles downward, cover them with a cleaning cloth, and shake firmly in a downward motion.
           - Clean the nozzle face with 99% ethanol and a lint-free cloth to remove any dried or excess ink.
3. **Print Settings:**

     - Check the print settings, such as the DPI. Increasing the DPI setting can help resolve the issue. Refer to your printer's documentation for the recommended DPI range for white ink.

### Next Steps

If the above troubleshooting steps do not resolve the issue with the white ink cartridge, consider requesting a replacement. If the cartridge is defective, contact customer support to arrange an exchange.

 Conclusion

If your white ink cartridge is not printing while the black cartridge functions correctly, follow the troubleshooting steps above. Regular maintenance and correct settings are essential for reliable white ink cartridge performance. If the issue persists after all steps, contact customer support to request a replacement.
