Proper Care For Your White (ST-320) And Yellow (ST-340) Pigment Ink Cartridges

Using pigment-based ink cartridges, whether white or yellow, requires a little extra maintenance to avoid printing issues. With proper care, you can extend the life of your cartridge and maintain consistent print quality.

Before Use

  1. Shake the Cartridge

    • Place the protective cap onto the cartridge.

    • Gently shake it side to side to mix the ink.

    • If the ink has settled for a long period, it may be necessary to:

      • Remove the clip.

      • Point the nozzles downward.

      • Cover the nozzles with the provided lint-free cloth.

      • Firmly shake in a downward motion.

  2. Clean After Shaking

    • Always clean the nozzle area after shaking.

    • Use the lint-free wipe included with your order.

    • If needed, lightly dampen the cloth with 99% ethanol to remove dried or excess ink from the nozzle face.

General Cartridge Care

  • Protective Clip: Always store the cartridge in the protective clip when not in use. This prevents damage and drying of the nozzles.

  • Lint-Free Wipe: Provided with every ink order. Use only this type of cloth to clean the print head—other materials can scratch or damage it.

  • Cleaning Chemicals: Never use unapproved cleaning solutions. Only ethanol (99%) or products recommended by our support team are safe.

  • Routine Maintenance: Even if the cartridge is not in daily use, shake and clean it regularly to keep the ink properly mixed and the nozzles free of buildup.
